Petapalooza FAQs
In addition to all the amazing Rescues, Shelters and Vendors, we also feature a lot of family fun! With music, food trucks, games, activities and our infamous raffle, we have something for all ages. Plus! All families are more than welcome to bring their furry family members as long as they're well behaved, vaccinated, and leashed.
-
Can I adopt a pet at the event? No. Due to PA regulations and our belief that all animals deserve a healthy, loving home, you cannot adopt same day. However, you can fall in love at Petapalooza and submit an application for adoption. The rescues and shelters generally will need to get references from you and will do a home visit before you can adopt. Each organization is different, so you'll need to check with each one.
-
Can I bring my pets?Absolutely! As long as they are well-behaved, vaccinated, and on a leash. If it's too hot, we encourage you to leave your furry friends at home. Though we do provide pools for their comfort, the sidewalks can become much too hot for their paws.
-
Do I need to register as a festival-goer?Nope! The only people that need to register are rescues, shelters, vendors and volunteers. If you're just coming, no need to sign up anywhere!
-
Can I bring donations to the event? You can, however, Petapalooza will not be collecting or distributing. Check out the rescues and vendors that are coming, and make contact with them in advance to plan your donation.
-
How do I sign up to volunteer?Click on "Volunteer" in the menu of this website. We needs lots of volunteers the day of the event, so we would LOVE to have you!
-
Will you have a vaccination clinic? No. Petapalooza does not provide vaccinations during our event. Several organizations in the area offer vaccinations, including the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area. Details here.
-
What's your mask policy? We will be following PA State Guidelines. As of now, there is no recommendation for masking outside. If this changes, so will the policy.
